Ever wondered what will happen if u go beyond your usual limits. what would happen if u did 15 extra more pushups or ran that extra, never before attempted, 1 more mile. Would u get there? would u fall in the process? or would u find yourself at a new milestone in your life, both physically and mentally. Those who have taken up the challenge have found the unbounded reserve of energy in the human spirit. Inexhaustible, unbreakable. A spark from the very core of life.
Some might not believe that there exists such a thing amongst us all. But its there in every one of us. The spirit of life. It’s amazing when u can feel the strain u take in your mind to get that far and any further effort on it seems like next to impossible. Like stretching an already extended rubber band. imagine that u are running and you suddenly get the idea to quicken your pace and to put on an extra burst of speed before the finish line, which results in u panting for breath even before your normal mark. At that moment u have two choices .to believe that we are creations of god and there is always a spark of divinity in anything that was created and that we have an hidden strengths within us all or u can just give up and pant and whine and complain and lie down on the ground doubting yourself and your capability. but when u force yourself to "push "further and more u can reach your goal ,whatever it may be, amidst encore. The world has always applauded the exertions and strivings of many men and women before us for it symbolizes the undying spirit that lives in us, which we all like to believe and we all doubt, When you have to take a conscious effort to do something out of the ordinary. When u do ordinary things like walking talking running jumping u really don’t feel the effort .and even if u felt the effort it cannot be compared to the feeling of having broken a limit on your body. When u "push" yourself like continuing to run when faced with a impending sense of urgency or danger to someone or something or even to our self the human mind accesses the hidden energy with in itself. No matter what your physical build is whether u are fat or lean, short or tall, fear for our self or for those who we care about will definitely spur you on, like never before. Cartoons and movies depict this untapped reserve of spirit in many numerous and clumsy ways. it doesn’t always have to be impending danger or love for something that makes you "push " yourself. the will to achieve the goal, one has strived for can also be the motivator in the reaction. If u set yourself to a particular goal and meet that goal finally to see it in all its glory ,after jumping over the hurdles of life ,that simple effort may be seen as the reward for a person's perseverance and untiring mental capacity.
"pushing" yourself forward can be something just mental also ,not just physical. When we find it in our self the will to stand for something good then that simple measure epitomizes the human spirit, the choice and the ability to do right and wrong. And in that way we will have reached another milestone in our life. one worth remembering. And that’s what great leader’s did. They showed us that mental spirit can be as powerful as physical spirit. and that is what we all should believe in. The undying spirit of the human mind and heart. Its strength cannot be depleted; it can only be clouded and hidden in shrouds of doubt .
this is nice dude... hope u'll "push yourself" into posting more frequently in the blog... :)
ReplyDeleteHey Akash, I get what you are saying dude. I know from experience. I had this night when I had a submission for the next day. I had a 102 degrees fever and my whole body was aching beyond belief. The submission entailed making 5 models wit paper mache. If you have ever seen or been any where in the vicinity of paper mache, you will never want to set eyes on it or set foot near it again. It STINKS! Did I happen to mention that paper mache takes a couple of days to dry? So, I had made 2 models and had put 3 more coats on my remaining models. I sat up the whole night on my aching behind and dried all five with a hair drier. The smell of it is like rotten eggs and a storm drain, mix in a 5 day old corpse - you kind of get the picture. I might be exaggerating here (just a heads up). I managed it and I made the submission. It took all I had tto push myself to do it. Dude, I really like your writing. Keep it up. looking forward to reading more
